FESTIVAL BELLA VIA  - MONTERREY, NUEVO LEON, MEXICO - September, 2004
In Septemeber, 2004, ConArte had their first streetpainting festival in their town of Monterrey in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Invited Madonnari from Mexico City, the United States, and France, 55 Mexican Madonnari from throughout the country, and many eager children created beautiful artwork on the street for two days. 

Many people from Monterrey attended, enjoying the performance of art between Madonnari and passerby. 

At the conclusion of the event, all were honored by the visit of Lic. Jose Natividad Gonzales Paras, Gobernador del Estado de Nuevo Leon.

Street Painting Competition - 55 artists from all over Mexico competed in Bella Via's first street painting competition.  None of these artists had ever street painted prior to this competition.  The artists based their street paintings on paintings from the Renaissance and had two days to complete their pieces. The winning selections were chosen by a panel of 5 judges, led by Maestro Guillermo Ceniceros.  The competition was close, as many artists had beautiful work.

Second Place Winners, Elida Hinojosa Calvillo and team, at Festival Bella Via.  This painting is  "Saint Anne, The Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus".
